This is a great little vanity mirror! It's not very large; it's just big enough to reflect show whole face and my most of hair, but I don't mind that. It's a nice size to fit on a desk/countertop.

I also love that it's battery powered; no annoying cord to weave around everything else on my desk.

The light it provides is decent; I rarely use it on its own, but combined with the magnifying side of the mirror, it's great for plucking hairs, looking for minor imperfections, making sure there's nothing in my contacts, etc. also the magnifying side is very powerful, don't look at it from too far away or you'll get dizzy!

I prefer this one to my old Conair lighted mirror (so old it was a gift from my grandmother). I don't do much makeup, however; I probably wouldn't recommend it for people who do more makeup than I do (eyebrows and eyelashes only) as the lighting isn't really sufficient for matching foundation/concealer/etc unless you have supplement lighting.

tldr; It's very light, a good size, and provides decent lighting for the little details, but not enough to really stand up on its own.

GAME CHANGER. My eyeshadow routine involves like 6 colors, all intricately blended, and with my dinky bathroom light, it's been a hit or miss every morning. Ya know when you get out to your car in daylight and look in the rearview mirror and think OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE. But not with this puppy. I set this on the windowsill, sit on the toilet and make an eyeshadow masterpiece every morning. You don't need blinding light to do your makeup well, silly me for assuming you do. You need to lean in, get a good look at your face, and do your best. I've had this for a few weeks, and I've not once come into natural light or a different building and thought "this looks weird"... It's always been amazing! I can really see where to put more color, more concealer, where to pluck brows, and most of all, how much more to blend. I can't recommend this enough. I'm great at makeup, but I'm no sorcerer, and this makes me look like I know what I'm doing every day. If you spend a lot of money and time on makeup, get this puppy.

I was able to see little eyebrow hairs I hadn't seen before! Would have preferred the brushed nickel finish, but I saved some $$ and got the chrome finish instead, its shiny but not cheap looking. Light is on both sides when you turn it on, but it doesn't bother me. LED light means it should last a long time and not drain up my batteries too fast.

LED light have two intensity- low and High, you can select brightness of light by moving three stage switch.(High-off-Low)

This product use 3 AA size batteries and I am not sure how long they will powered the light.

I recommended to use rechargeble high mA(above 2000mA) battery such as Sanyo Eneloop to avoid blame from my wife :(

The best part is that it is battery operated as I dont have any way to plug something in really as well as having cords running around. The LED lights are nice and bright as well which I was worred about with battery operated, but nope they are great! Plus being LED they will last so long that I dont have to worry about bulb replacements. Yay! I recommend this mirror!

I wondered if the light in this mirror wouldn't be bright enough but I shouldn't have worried - it is plenty bright, and I love that it's LED because they have such a long life - no replacing incandescents every so often. I do like that there's no cord on this one and I don't have to worry about hunting down a light bulb that fits. I can move it around and it doesn't interfere with the items on my vanity. As long as you keep the batteries fresh, the light will be bright. I let them wear down and was wondering why the light was barely there (duh!). I do really like this mirror.
