   As a major skincare and makeup addict, proper lighting is a MUST when grooming oneself. My bathroom is so weird, all of the mirrors are too far away and we have ugly and so very deceiving yellow lighting. So this baby is wild, bright and devastatingly honest...no more stray hairs being left behind or disastrous unblended makeup! This will do until I am able to upgrade to a bigger vanity, for now this will save me.
   
   
   
   It is decent sized and does use 3 AA batteries that are not included, but you can get some separately with all the money you're saving by buying this mirror over others. My husband ended loving it equally, so I must get another to not have one of us hogging it constantly!

   My vanity is no where near an outlet, or a good light source, so I would stand in front of my living room window and apply makeup with a little hand held mirror. One day as I was blocking the tv trying to put on lipstick, my boyfriend said, "I can't believe you don't use that vanity to put on makeup, don't they make battery powered makeup mirrors?" Um...yeah. Why the hell didn't I think of that? Because I was thinking of the old 1970's version with all those mini light-bulbs a la Joan Crawford.
   
   
   
   One quick amazon search and I found this one, the LED part made me a little skeptical but I figured, light is light is light. And I was right! I love this thing! Now I actually get to sit down at my cute little girly vanity and paint my face like a moviestar. Seriously tho, there's no face painting but a lot of eyelinning and mascara applying and this mirror, with it's magnification side is totally worth it. The lighting also lends its to examining your large pores or plucking that stray eyebrow hair.

   The light is more than bright enough and the mirrors large and clear (maybe too clear! ), easily flipping from closeup to whole face view.
   
   
   
   It takes batteries, which is what we needed since we use it where there is no outlet--if you have an outlet then you should buy a lighted mirror that has a plug, don't buy this and rate it poorly, right? Kind of funny. It is also a great mirror to use if you sell jewelry at fairs! It has been dropped once or twice off the fair table, with no worse for wear. It holds up well.
   
   
   
   We have had this for several months, use it many times a day between a few of us, and so far no problems with the batteries. The led lights should also hold up for years to come.

   I absolutely love this mirror. It provides perfect "daylight" light and really good magnification when you're tweezing or applying makeup. It makes my blending and eyeshadow application look so much smoother. I have glasses and can't see far away without them so trying to put my eyeshadow on in a standard bathroom vanity often means I have to bend over and look closer into the mirror just to see if I'm applying it right. This mirror has made it so I can sit down and enjoy putting on my makeup. I love that it's cordless as well! The battery life has been pretty good so far. Probably have used it for 2 or 3 hours and haven't noticed a dim in light.

   This is a wonderful mirror! I have bought different sizes and shapes of makeup mirrors in the past. This one beats them all hands down! It is just the right height for me, it doesn't have doors swinging in the way, or need to be leaned up against something. The design let's it stand alone without taking up a lot of room. The oval shape of the mirror gives you plenty of space for viewing. It uses 3AA batteries which makes it useable in lots of places you would not be able to with a cord. The L.E.D. lights are great too because they never need replacing. There are high and low settings to suit the amount of light that want. One side of the mirror is regular and the other is magnified. It was packaged very well and arrived early without a scratch. I am very pleased with my purchaseand would definately recommend it to a friend.

   I love this mirror! I gave it to my daughter because I have a similar one and love it. She kind of wondered about needing/wanting magnification because she's young and has great eyesight and thought it was an old lady thing, but once she used it, she loves it too. I have used hers once when she needed an early morning babysitter in an emergency. I grabbed my makeup bag and headed out the door knowing she had a mirror. Because it's battery operated I set it on her kitchen table and loved that convenience. It's nice having no cords in the way no matter where it's placed.
