Ok, so I live in Mexico... and the city turns the water off randomly ALOT in the summer.... I was trying to figure out how could still shower when this occurs... went on Amazon and BAM! Saw this gizmo!! Read the reviews! Yes it works like a charm. Pressure is pretty decent too! I mean, I haven't washed my hair with it yet just a quick wash off shower, and man oh man LOVED it.. and the box Amazon shipped it in makes for a gr8 cat You! Lol! This is a definite must if you go camping and all that jazz or if you live in a place where they turn the water off randomly you just fill it up and Bam you are good to go no stress about no water in a inopportune time!

My son recently returned from his second tour of Afghanistan. His outpost spent 4 months with no running water. I sent him this solar shower so he could have hot water, instead of bathing in a cold mountain stream. 5 stars is not enough for what this shower gave to him! A hot shower!!! A++++ I bought 5 more to send to him so that he could share with the other guys in his unit! It was like Christmas to those guys! Something as simple as a hot shower. I totally recommend this product. If it can survive the conditions in the mountains of Afghanistan, it will hold up for your summer camping trips!

I think I reviewed this once already but I buy them for a all my boats. They are the best on the market. However...they can be improved on. Eventually the spout ends up falling off. It would be great if they came with a replacement spout. Also if you can make them easier to clean...eventually mildew builds up and its a pain to get out .Lastly, I did lose a clip on the top of one that holds it up. So please provide a couple replacement parts and this would be even better. I use them every day...so some wear is expected. I've tried other ones and still go back to these.

Got wife to enjoy camping even more, now that we can cleanup on a long weekend. Glad I went with the 5g model. Was perfect volume for 2 showers, and a little left over to rinse other stuff off. Also useful for rinsing dishes. Was able to heat up to 110 deg easily on an unusually warm Spring afternoon (temps hit high 80's). Seems like decent materials that will last with care. Like screw-on cap, no risk of spilling when transporting. Paired this with an inexpensive pop up changing/shower booth and bamboo floor and shower mat I found on Amazon.

This product is far superior to the basic black bag version in the stores. Granted, you are paying a fair amount more but it's night and day. For the few times a year we use this it is well worth it. The features, ease of use and nozzle/valve design make it a joy to have on the camping trip. The cheapo bag has a valve that leaks nonstop, and is really difficult to operate with shampoo in your face. This one is comparatively very easy to open and close. The shower bag has some features we likely won't use but could be handy for some- mesh pockets for toiletries, an attached mirror, and a couple of clip things on the corners I haven't figured out. But the killer feature is the LCD thermometer that tells you where the temp is- you won't freeze or scald. Overall construction is good, they should last for many years with reasonable care.

Boy is this product awesome. I happen to work out side a lot and always seem to get dirty. I got this product so I could clean up before I went into the house. I filled,it up with 4-5 gallons of water and set it outside in the sun. It sure did heat up,quickly. What is neat is the that the water bag has a temperature gage on the clear side of the bag so you can see if the water will be cold or warm or hot. The last time I used it the water was 104 degrees and it was just Luke warm, but, the next time after setting it in the hot sun the water was hot just like my shower in the house. The hose device is super easy to use and does cut off the water when you are finished washing off. The water pressure is based on how high the bag is elevated when you are showering. As the bag holds just 5 gallons be sure to wash quickly.

My new house won't be ready until October and I had no idea that my former home would sell on the first day. I purchased a 10x20 shed and placed it on the 35 acres I am building on. Going into my fifth week of 'roughing it,' I have relied upon this solar shower and use it every day. I've learned that it takes no more than 2 hours tops to reach a very comfortable temperature if you place it clear side up on the ground. Today was a cloudy day with a high of 70-degrees, and my afternoon shower was comfortably warm. Regardless of the outside air temperature and the sky cover, I have used this every day for four complete weeks with total satisfaction. Frankly, I use no more than 3 of the 5 gallons/use and shower for approximately 10 minutes. Excellent product. If I can use this every day for a month, you should have no problems over a camping weekend in the woods, etc.

Took it on two camping trips and used the warm/hot water to wash dishes. It heated up to 110-116 degrees on a sunny day, took about half a day to reach that temperature. The water didn't go higher than 116 after a full day in the sun even though there is a mark for 120 degrees. The water felt warm enough to use for a shower. I haven't used it as a shower yet. The bag is very heavy when filled (41 lbs for 5 gallons) so I'm not sure how well it would hang in a shower tent. If using it as a shower, I recommend hanging the bag high so the water can flow better. Otherwise, there will be a bend in the hose, slowing the flow. I also think 5 gallons should be enough water for showering two girls with long hair.

I travel a lot over the summer in my hippie dippie van which doesn't have a shower. I purchased this as a backup but it works great so I use it everyday while camping. I can get three showers out of it if I don't wash my hair, two if I do (I'm 5'6", 140lbs). I also use it throughout the year for rinsing off my Labrador after going to the lake or dog parks. Extremely handy to have around. The clasp on the handle is a bit cheap which is why I only gave durability 4 stars but the bag and the twist cap itself are great. I just replaced the cheap nylon handle with some nylon rope that I can change the length as needed. I did like the handle though...wish I could incorporate that onto my rope. The bag is fairly easy to clean as well. I use water/vinegar, same as my CamelBak. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a travel shower. Oh and it heats up fairly quickly. Overall very happy with it.

This is my 3rd solar shower. After 24+ years in the military, almost all of which in special operations, these, and my little espresso cooker, providerd me with untold hours of comfort: an espresso (or mocha with MRE or C-rat chocolate drink powder) and a warm shower. This particular model is much nicer and much more elaborate than I've ever owned before. Absolutely no leaky seams, hose or nozzle. No kinks in the hose and the handle and hanging strap with Fastex fastener are very sturdy and will preclude the need for paracord to hang it. I'm preparing to go out of country again and this upgrade to what I've been using is like going from a Toyota to a Land Rover. The thermometer and mesh pocket are nice touches. The little mirror is a neat bonus. To the one reviewer who said it is as reflective as Aluminum foil - It works better if you peel the protective plastic shipping cover off the surface, then you will find a very nice, distortion free mirror. This shower costs a little more than most of the other ones on the market, but well worth every penny of price difference.

I didn’t believe the review that the water gets so hot that you should leave some space to add Unheated water. The first time I attempted to take a shower I was almost scalded...it gets that hot. The next day we left a quarter of the space to add water and my teenaged daughter said it was still too hot. We now fill it half way to let it heat up while we go hiking, fishing, etc. We left it on the metal bear box because it was a nice flat space. This product has revolutionized our camping!

I needed this as I was on a mission trip and hot water was almost guaranteed to be unavailable. What I did was heat up a kettle of water electrically and then I filled the bag not even halfway- whatever the kettle held. The temperature was nearly boiling water with no problems. Then I had a large plastic cup that I mixed boiling water with icy cold water for pouring on myself. It worked well. The closure held back the water till it was opened again. I was able to hang it on the shower curtain easily. I never filled it completely so i did not have the heavy problem some users talked about. I did not use the solar features. I would use it again.

I used this as a camp shower and it delivered a HOT shower at camp! I left it in the sun and watched the temp gauge for the water temp. Between 98 and 104 was the perfect water temp for a nice refreshing hot shower at camp! The best solar shower I have personally used.. my only caution is if the bag is not full, the water temp will be incredibly hot if left out for a lengthy time in the sun! (The 2nd day I only had half a bag of water and it was hot like out of my water heater turned all the way up! Steamy!) This solar shower delivers! I was impressed by how quickly the water warmed up when I used it and made sure it was directly in sunlight for about 1-2 hours depending on water level. (The first time I tried to use it, it was chilly out and my shower was far from hot since outside temp affects water temp even in the sun!) Great product and 5 gal gave me 2 days of showering at camp!

And a huge thank you to James Preston! Best Amazon review/advice ever. I followed James Preston’s advice above and attached a 1/2” to 1/2” brass shut off valve to my tubing (used aviation snips to make a clean cut through the tubing) to bypass the finnicky slide mechanism that the unit comes with. The tubing should slide over the 1/2” brass fitting with a little effort. Couldn’t find a fit at Home Depot so went to my local Locke plumbing supply and got one there. I’m taking two of these to Africa for my family as we move over and, based on some testing last summer, am very excited for them.

This shower is the bomb! Not only is it substantial, its sturdy, the handle is rock solid, the fill outlet is large, there's a mesh pocket for whatever you need and a mirror tethered to the bag so it won't slip and fall. The hose is perfect, not too long and is also sturdy with no crimps like the Coleman shower (which I happily returned because that crimped hose had no flow). This hose flows beautifully and strong and the shower head pops out easily and pops back in to stop the flow. I use it every day after my lunchtime power walk, I hang it on the back of the women's room door and stand in a plastic bin so I need something with good strong flow to wash quickly, that's easy & quick to fill, lift to hang on the hooks and then empty whatever water is left. The Advanced Elements Summer Shower is definitely worth every single cent!

We got two of these and we were happy we did. The nozzle works literally just like a regular shower head. You do have to keep them in the sun to retain the heat but even then the water never gets colder than room temp. They were easy to use and material was good quality. All of our other friends who bought cheaper versions had problems with either the seal to the bag, the tub where the water comes out being too thin, or some other little odd issues. These also work for an awesome dish washing station while camping or just water to wash your hands or face. Highly recommend.

this is the second one i have purchased, the first one lasted over two years of abuse three weekends a month nearly every month. these are well made and of very durable materials. it holds enough water for three reasonable showers. the water will get very comfortably warm, even hot if left in direct sun for approx. three hrs at 75 degrees. [the silver side goes down]. after two yrs the plastic nozzle which is a pull on/ push off function was warn out and cracked. other than that it was still serviceable.

This is a great invention. I was thinking of how I could do this myself. I checked amazon and already exists and even has the solar heater. For the price and purpose 5 stars. I would like a longer hose for the handheld. Because the pressure is not great which is to be expected, but if the hose was longer you could get the handheld in closer to the spot you want to clean like your ass or pegs or whatever. But this is great for camping. If your like me and don’t like the campground showers.

I bought this as part of my 'prepper' supply should it come down to lack of water pressure/supply to my house, (say, from ruptured pipes from an earthquake). Should I need it I have a nice place to hang it just outside my bathroom window, which is up high and by my tub. The hose can easily run through the window and I can still take a shower right in the tub. As an added bonus it will catch the early morning sun and be ready to use as needed.

This is a decent little camp shower. I was too impatient to test its heating capabilities, as the lake water with which I was filling it was already a refreshing temperature. Will say it takes some time to fill by dipping in the water, but if you're using a faucet you could fill the full five gallons. I only filled it maybe 1/3 of the way and that was enough for four quick showers, although more like sponge baths. Rolls up nice and compact, but might be improved with a removable hose. Hung it from a tree with some line through the well-made handle, and enjoyed being able to have a quick morning wash while camping.

I used this summer shower for THREE years before it finally broke down on me! My boyfriend and I were living on his land while we built a cabin. We used this shower while we were off the grid. It gets the water to a comfortable temp. The best way to use this shower is to get wet all over, turn the water off and then soap up then rinse. The water comes out pretty fast so it can be easy to run out quickly if you try to shower like a normal shower. Other than just figuring out how to make the most out of it, it's a great product. Great quality especially for the price.

I set it on the top of my Expedition and when we're done playing in the sand etc. we simply spray off. What's great about it is it's warm to hot water. The kids love it. Five out of five stars for me.

Worked great. Wife and I squeezed two showers out of one fill up. At campground the outside temp was 63 degrees but this crazy thing put out 100 degree water. Water was turned off at our trailer for 1 1/2 weeks so we used this to get by. Glad I purchased.

We lost our hot water heater to the Texas Freeze of 2021. We bought this to hold us over until we could get a new one. One large pot of boiling water and the rest cold from the tap was perfect for a 100+ degree shower. Have not tried heating it up with the sun since it has only been in the 60s here. The full bag is honestly more water than you need for one person to fully shower. No comment on durability since we just started using it.

So, I live in the South East. Summers here are sweltering and hiking all day to the next camp site leaves one soaked through and through in sweat. Having to go to bed in that sweat is pretty miserable for me, so I was happy to find a product that allowed me to work around that issue.

Thought it was a bit overpriced but it's worth it. Very well built. We camp for 2 weeks at a time and take a shower almost everyday. The other solar shower we had started to tear where the handle to hang is on our second trip out and we never fill any of our bags with the full 5 gallons. Usually only about 3, because of where we hang it. The only thing I would improve on this is a longer hose for the shower but I can buy tubing to fix that. We will be buying a second one next season as I also use Solar warmed water for dishes and handwashing.

I filled this with water, laid it out for sun to warm it and the black panel work perfectly to heat the water. This is a solid water bag and the thermometer is a great add. The included mirror is a handy feature as well. This makes for great shower/clean up while tent camping without need for bath house.

I tried it with about 3 1/2 gallons of water, that's as much weight as I can lift over my head. Left it hang for a week, and no leaks. Fairly good water flow. The plastic is very flexible at 68 deg F. Everything works.

We've used this on our sailboat for a few years now, and find that the little bit extra that you pay for it is well worth it. It warms the water nicely in the sun, and the shower head opens and closes easily for a smooth flow of water. i especially like the thickness of the tubing as i find it crimps too easily on some of the others we've had. I will buy a second one if there is another extended sail in our future.

Purchased 4 of these for our family on a week long missions trip in Mexico. Having never used them before we were a little skeptical about how they would perform. These solar showers were awesome! Water was between 98-104 degrees each evening when we showered after a long day on job site. Found that 2.5 gals of water was perfect for shower (these hold 5 gals). Well constructed - will be interesting to see how long they last. Would definitely recommend to others.

Brought this camping. For the first time, I had a warm shower in the woods! Out it out in a field for about an hour and the temp gauge showed as 98. Plenty warm in a hot summer day to not get goosebumps when it hits you. Only downside I found is its hard to get it completely empty to store away.

So far so good. Seems pretty sturdy but things can always be better lol. On a 65 degree day in Washington but good sunny day. It got up to about 105 degrees in 4 hours. Longer hose would be cool. But wouldnt be hard to extend. Itll definitely keep the gf happier on camping trips too so good buy lol. Would buy again.

Just used this on a camping trip to the Black Hills. Filled it in the morning and laid it out in the sun. Came back after a long hike and the temp was about 95 degrees. Hung it from a tree and my partner and I each showered and washing and rinsed our hair and still had about a gallon left. This is a great product I'd recommend, just remember a full bag weighs over 40 lbs so have something sturdy to hang it from.

Compact, lightweight and durable. It's gravity feed, so you're not getting shampoo out of long hair with this nozzle. Wonderful to have a warm-hot-very hot shower with minimal investment, though. I'm probably stating the obvious, but your water will only get nice and warm with the sun. Even with ambient temps of 80 and intermittent sun, you're taking a pretty cool shower.

We use this for our camping weekends. This shower works wonderfully! Filled it up before we left for our trip and set in back of car- no leaks! In the south, the heat, humidity, and sweat cling like Velcro. So nice to give up the sticky residue feel of baby/body wipes for a truly clean hot shower experience. Water heated up quickly, and almost got too hot at one point, thought I was going to have to add cold water to cool it down. Five gallons was enough for two adults for three days.

We dry camp frequently so this is great after a day on the lake for a quick rinse with some clean water. We fill at home before we leave and will set in the sun while we are gone during the day. Water temp does get very hot when sitting out in 95 degrees and full sun all day. One day water was too hot to use. Moved it into the shade while we packed up and it cooled off enough to use before we left. We usually hang on the lumber rack of the truck and works perfect.
