The sleeves help to prevent this from happening. I wear the sleeves sometimes even when I sleep but, you must be careful that you do not lie on either arm as this might restrict circulation. I have come to love these sleeves to assist in my weight loss goals without over exerting myself through exhaustive exercise on my upper body and joints in my arms because I have some old injuries and some medical issues that prevent me from doing proper workout rituals on my upper arms.
