   I usually do not write product reviews, but feel this one is needed! This product has been a game changer. I was at my wits end with my pool. Draining and refilling the pool just for it to be non swimmable again was getting old. Then I was told about this product from a family member and love it. I have never seen my water so clear! It took roughly 3 full days for it to get totally clear. I have yet to use any other chemicals except a little Algecide. This is a MUST if you own a pool! I have an above ground.

   i was very skeptical about purchasing this product, but am so glad that I did. This is the first year that I have not spent a fortune on chemicals because my pool turned green!!! Every year it's the same thing, it gets hot and muggy out and the pool starts turning green, I then make the trip to the pool store, buy all kinds of chemicals and the battle goes on and on. One year I even emptied out the pool, scrubbed it down and filled it back up. It turned green again in three weeks! This year the pool is crystal clear. No lie! This product is great and is so easy to use, just put it in the pool and let it float around. I have cleaned the copper tube, which is another easy job, and then put it right back in the pool to do it's job. I would recommend this product to everyone. The old saying is you get what you pay for, and although it might look a little expensive it works and I have already saved a fortune this year by not buying the chemicals I used to buy. The local pool store misses me.

Our pool is sparkling clean! The water feels amazing too. Nice not to have to load it up with chlorine. I would love to know if this can completely replace chlorine? I can’t find that information. I’m still using some just to be safe, but I highly recommend this item.

   By the time I applied my gift cards and Amazon rewards, I got this delivered for $37. I live in Phoneix, Arizona and the algae on the side of my pool would not go away, no matter how many times I shocked it or scrubbed it. By the end of two weeks the algea was gone and it has not returned. After week one I thought it wa not going to work so I contacted their helpline. They were very responsive and told me to be patient but to maintain my normal chlorine for the first two weeks (they should put this in their booklet in the future). I shocked the pool at the end of week one. They were right. It has been 5 weeks now and the pool is still algae free. You have to remember to clean the unit every week, which takes about 10 minutes and will turn your hands green but it is a lot easier than scrubbing the walls with a wire brush. I do keep a couple of chlorine tabs in the floater for good measure. I also tested the copper level and it was 0.1 last week, which is good. How much it will actually save in chemical costs over the course of a year remains to be seen, all-in-all, a very good investment.

   We have had algae issues with our in-ground pool for years, I suspect due to nearby trees. For the past year or so black algae has been really bad--spores appearing after any storms or high-winds. (I blame the neighbor's redwood tree, but who knows?) Have used Green & Clean for the green and yellow algae which works for awhile then returns. I added 10x the normal shock of granulated chloring (about 10 lbs!) to try to get rid of the black algae spores. that worked for a few days and then they began returning. then the Remington Solar arrived. It stopped all the algae, other than an occassional spore, which seem to go away on their own, or with a little rub with chlorine. AND my granulated chlorine use is down to about 1/4 of what I was using. I might not need any at all, but I think I need some chlorine in the pool to stop any other health issues. I even let the chlorine go down to zero for a few days--no algae came back. Excellent product. I wish I had know about this years ago!

   The water has been crystal clear and the pool has been a joy to look at and swim in with only drinking level Chlorine (2 ppl). No shock has been added for over 1 month! I have no idea how this works but it is genius. The best money I have spent in a while. I had to purchase 2 ionizers because I have 35,000 gallons. So far it works amazingly well especially for the month of July which typically is the worst month to control algae. Generally we have to shock and scrub repeatedly and still have algae despite very high chlorine levels in July.

   I have a 20x40 pool so I bought two of them after having one Floatron that developed a leak. I cut my chlorine use down to almost nothing all summer. I seem to need two working together to do the job, but it's very effective and the water is clean, not a trace of algae. I still think it's good to shock once in a while, but perhaps not needed. And, the other measures, like Ph, stay stable with no chemicals. A really good solution.

   Okay have had this about 90 days in a 18k gallon salt water pool with full sun. This actually works! We are still using some chemicals but they are lasting a LOT longer. not nearly the growth that we have had in the past. I am having to clean the copper rod once a week and this takes about 15 ish minutes. I have broken 1 of the plastic butter fly nuts so I am actually on amazon now to order another few get another rod. I will be asking customer service about how long the rods should last.
