Premium Woodworking Doweling Jig

Clamp on to workpieces for precise right angle drilling. Designed to accommodate drilling for dowel pins requiring exact alignment Hole sizes are permanently cast and will not wear out Five drills. The metal guide center holes are precision drilled and reamed for accuracy of the drill bit. You can drill two identical parallel holes without moving the jig.

Handles stock up to 2-inch thick
Six hardened steel bushings are provided: two each of 1/4-Inch, 5/16-Inch, and 3/8-Inch

Drill hole sizes: 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch, 7/16-inch, and 1/2-inch
Quality Material: Made from aluminum alloy material that is more stable and corrosion resistant

Accurate positioning: The Fixture bolts provide a very good thread and give bushes of different sizes to realize simple and convenient precise drilling so that the positioning is more accurate, no offset or gaps are left.

Never used anything like this before. Was really easy to use for an amateur home repair person. Used it to put pocket holes in a 4x4. The instructions were easy to follow. I got this one so the tool itself would give me consistently even spaced holes. I used a generic clamp I got from harbor freight to hold it down.

This jig was super easy to use! The instructions were very clear and I got the pocket holes right the first time! I got the Kreg clamp and it made switching to the next hole very quick, but I can see how another clam with a washer on it would work just as well (maybe even without the washer). I really liked the screws that came with it, and I will probably will be buying them again. I would recommend to test on scrap pieces of wood first, when I did that, I used the longest screws and it went right through the wood, the shorter ones (1.25 in) worked perfectly! The width of both boards I joined was .75 in. Very happy with my purchase!

Easily adaptable to different depths and scenarios. I also liked the fact it didn't require Kreg's special clamp but I can see where their clamp would certainly be a better option. I had to stick a washer on the jig for my clamp to work properly.

I have not tested it to see if it is accurate within a 1/100 of in inch or anything like that but it certainly is accurate to much less than 1/64 from my experience so far. But, it is also up to the operator to make sure they get it lined up correctly which can certainly determine how good it will work.
