   I'm very happy with this weed puller. I was initially looking for one that is fashioned after those pronged asparagus weeders, only on a long pole. Do they even make that I wonder? Anyway this one does everything it advertises. I noticed one reviewer stated yes, you do have to touch the weeds in order to remove them. That's not true at all in my yard. Once I have pulled the weed I'm able to position the weed puller over my trash can and whack the pole with my hand and the weed dislodges and falls into the trash. I got pretty good at being able to aim it from a distance and toss it into the trash can. I've managed to pull weeds of varying sizes with this tool. Sometimes with very thick clumps of grassy-type weeds I might have to insert the tool more than once. I've also found that giving it a twist after inserting into the weed works well. So to sum it up, yes I do recommend this tool.

   This is a sturdy and effective gardening tool. I had dandelions taking over my wildflower garden and this helped me to remove them easily without disturbing other neighboring plants. It even helped in removing nettles and burdock. The mechanism is easy to use and saved me hours of kneeling in the garden. The handles has foam padding on it, and to release the weeds and roots simple tap the button on the top of the handle. I'm impressed with how much weeding I accomplished in a relatively short amount of time.

   I like the weeder. I've been pulling weeds since I was a small child pulling the chickweed that would grow under my parent's greenhouse benches. It's always been the "get on your knees" kind of work. However, I just had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder and found it difficult to get down on my hands and knees, as I was short one hand. This weeder allows me to pull the weeds while standing. It took me a couple minutes or so to get hang of it, but once I did, I found it worked great.

   This is a game changer for pulling weeds. My first day I did more weeding in an hour than I've done before in 6 hours. At first I had a low success rate (maybe 25%) but with some experience I've gotten it up to near 90% good pulls. Two important tricks are (A) make sure it is centered perfectly so you are getting the root, and (B) after embedding, spin the tool to "cut" a plug that you can pull out.

   I was leery that this tool would work in my clay soil but it has so far! The only "problem" the clay soil has caused is that the button (that dislodges the weed/soil from the prongs) sometimes does not depress. I simply turn the tool over and slam the button on the ground and it spits out the weed/soil. It does take a plug of soil along with the weed, though. I hate to put all those soil plugs into the yard waste container so I'm going to try leaving the pile a few days and then stomping on it to see if that will pulverize the soil plugs so I can leave the soil in my yard and just dispose of the weeds.

   Stand-up weeder is very easy to use, and really saves my back! We haven’t had it very long so I can’t comment on how it will hold up, but it appears to be well-made, with sturdy materials, so we anticipate it will last a good long time! The tool extracts a small root plug, and if desired you can shake the excess soil off the root back into the hole. So far, we are very pleased with this purchase.

   This tool works great- pops those dandelions right out of the yard! It looked sufficiently fun for our 16 year old to get off the computer to come out and give it a try. A much better alternative to incessant use of checmials to control weeds.
