The light is bright. Ours is red; a neighbor has the green one. Both are very bright. They are impossible to miss on a dark night. The collar is easy to put on and take off. Though it has 3 settings I use mainly the 3rd setting - no flashing on and off, just solid 'on'. It's not uncomfortable for our dog - he doesn't even notice it. I use a gentle leader with him to keep him from pulling and this illuminated collar doesn't interfere with that. The most difficult thing about it was deciding how much to cut off since he may not be full-grown yet. It's not flimsy; it was not easy to cut to the right size but I'm glad it's durable.

I have bought the pink, and it glows nice and bright on my white German Shepherd. I just plug it into my car USB port after walks so it is always ready. It was super easy to cut the plastic tubing to the correct size. The light is bright and with one button I can choose a solid glow, a steady flash or a rapid flash. It glows brightly for almost two weeks before it requires recharging. The charging cord plugs into any standard USB port and recharges rapidly. When she is wearing this collar I can see her from a long distance away (all I see is the collar). But she has lost two of them - they pulled apart. I like that when its on her, all you have to do is click the light to turn it on. She did get out of the fence one night and I saw her light all the way down the street. So I would recommend it but don't expect it to last a long time. You might want to get 2 or 3 of them at a time.

The green is very bright against our black lab's coat and can be seen from a great distance in the dark. It is perfect for camping! But they still last a long time. Love the ease to turn the light off and on at the collar. Simple to cut to the right size and simple to use. Rain doesn't seem to affect them. Anyone who sees them marvels at how well and easily you can find your dogs in an extra large dark yard. A must have if you walk your dogs at night. Each dog here has their own color so we can tell who's where.
