   This is so much better than I expected it to be when I bought it. When it comes out of the box, it's not particiularly attractive, nor are the colors. But that's because it's not lit up. But as soon as you plug it in, that all changes. The array of colors and tones is extensive and quite beautiful -- much prettier than any of the photos in the listings or in the reviews. We set it to change colors very gradually, but there are a number of other settings that can be used. My nephew loves it.

   We bought this globe lamp for my son for Christmas. It has been a huge hit, even for my fickle child. It's more than just a nightlight, it's a conversation piece and sets a nice peaceful mood in his bedroom. Unfortunately, he had a friend over to play and the lamp was a big draw....to the point where its remote totally vanished. I contacted the company who replied back in record time and offered to replace the remote. BLOWN AWAY. First by the product itself and now by the responsiveness and level of customer service from this manufacturer. Highly recommend!

   Okay let's start this review off with the fact that the remote ACTUALLY came with batteries. So anyways, I bought this for myself but I wanted to get them as a gift for my nieces and nephews but I wanted to buy it for myself first. To test it. So it arrived swiftly and very well packed. The orb has some great textures and I really really enjoy the different colors. They are great and the remote is like the best thing possible. You can charge the lamp first, then unplug it and use it. Or just keep it plugged in. The lifespan of the battery isn't too bad! I keep mine plugged in now kind of as a nightlight. I usually don't go on this long but this things super awesome and I'm really really happy I bought it. Going to purchase a few more for the nieces and nephews for Christmas!

   Love this lamp right out of the box. I am giving to my 4 year old for Christmas so we haven't yet used this lamp full time. But I will update review if there are any issues. I did pull it out of the box and set it up to make sure it works. So far so good!! It was nice because it came charged so I was able to test it out right out of the box. Remote also came with batteries and it worked as well. We got the galaxy lamp and the colors and design are just amazing. They are bright enough and have amazing clarity. He is going to love sleeping with this thing at night! If it is of good quality in a couple of months or so, I may order another for my room!!
