They don't let it run more than 5 minutes at a time on the floor. But it's great in the bathtub. The lights are so cool and the fountain that comes up is nice and soft for little ones. Actually bought another for our great nephew's first birthday this weekend!

However the base that came with it thankfully stopped playing music almost as soon as she got ahold of it but it still moved around and around until she broke the wheels off once again throwing it on the ground to many times but it was a cheap toy that lasted over 2 months of abuse and lots of use .

The bottom part makes the sound, which is super loud but that’s ok. It didn’t say it took 2 different type of batteries. The bottom part takes 3 AA and the top takes 3 AAA. Other then the instructions being hard to understand it’s a really amazing toy.

The base separates from the fountain top and when you put them together it plays music and lights up and moves around. So the kids can take it off and put it back together over and over. The fountain power is great as well. As soon as it hits the water it lights up and starts to spray. My 2 year old and even my older kids love this thing.
