I don't like gel/shellac because I'm extremely picky about my polish covering my entire nail; I never wear it longer than a week on hands, 2 on toes, since by then, you can see new bare nails and cuticles growing on the bottom and eponychium needing trimming. Essie gel setter is another good one, but I like the brush and more liquid consistency of this top coat better. I add another coat after 2 days on hands, 4-5 days on toes.

It makes the nail really smooth and it makes the nail shinier. You can use this top coat over any nail polish and it will work. The only thing that is a bit off putting about this top coat is that it's a bit stringy. Its not a big problem but I don't like that its stringy. Over all, I love this top coat and I will definitely buy more.

This stuff is amazing! I have been using it as a top coat since it came out. It's so much better than other brands I always bought it at Walmart but now they no longer carry it. It stays on until I'm ready to take it off-keeps nail polish underneath looking like it was just applied. I use OPI nail envy on my natural nails then I french tip them then add 2 coats of Revlon gel envy. I leave it on for at least a week usually 2 weeks. I do add an additional layer of Revlon gel envy every 3 days or so. It does tend to thicken over time but it's never been an issue for me. I hope it's never discontinued!
