   I bought an electric sharpener (not this brand) years ago for at least three times the cost. It wasn't so great. Then I went through a series of other knife sharpeners that were available for around $15 that didn't work well at all. But this one is a keeper. Easy to use, I'm not worried about cutting my fingers off, and man does it sharpen my knives. It put a nice smooth finish to the knife as well. Absolutely would recommend!!

   I have a set of good knives that we got for a wedding gift 20 years ago. We have used them daily for all those years. I had never once sharpened them. I was going to pitch them and buy new but decided to try this sharpener first. Was skeptical after reading some mixed reviews. This sharpener is great. Just read and follow the directions. They are very short and easy to follow. My knives had deep nicks and were very dull. They could barely cut through the skin of a tomato. I was able to sharpen all 7 knives in under 15 minutes and they are like new. I cut a tomato today and I could hardly believe how sharp the knife was. Even if the machine doesn't last it was worth the price for one sharpening! But, it seems well made. I think it will last quite some time.

   OMG, you guys have to get this ELECTRIC knife shapener! No need to press hard, just gently slide it and repeat and you have a new sharp knife. I can't believe All those years of manuel sharpening one at a time is crazy. I was only able to do 3 max because my arms would get tired. With this product, I was able to sharpen ALL of my knives and believe me, I have lots of them!! I wanted to do more.....its that simple!! Of course it works and it is sharp! No more frustration.

   This is the best sharpener that I have ever used. Very easy to use too! I sharpened all 14 of my kitchen knives with this in about 15 minutes. My knives range between good quality steel and poorer quality steel. The poorer quality knives sharpened easiest as the steel is softer. The high carbon steel knives sharpened the slowest due to the harder steel. But, all of the knives are very very sharp and delightful to use now. I need to say that at the start of the sharpening they were all very dull and disgusting. One of my favorite 3.5" knives is an old boning knife that I love to use as a paring knife. It just fits my hand so well and I have good control of it. It is a cheaper knife with softer steel and always needed to be sharpened about once a week. But to my amazement the edge that this little sharpener put on it has lasted now for a couple of weeks and is still as sharp as when I finished with it. I may come back and add to this review later, if I remember, to tell how long this edge lasted. I was so ecstatic that this edge has held up so perfectly after a few dozen uses that I just had to tell everyone about it. This is money well spent and Amazon's price was very good and the shipping was very prompt even though I no longer am paying for Prime as they raised the price too high and the delivery drivers with Prime always drove up in unmarked vans with drivers who had no uniforms. I was constantly thinking some stranger was coming to the door.

   I just received my Presto knife sharpener, and immediately tried it out, as I happened to have some free time. I admit that our knives are not well cared for. In their 5 or 6 years of use, I think we've had them sharpened twice - both times at a knife shop that charges a couple bucks per blade. Obviously, our knives don't stay sharp very long! I finally decided I was sick of dull knives and figured it would be safer and make us more efficient in the kitchen if I would get a sharpener. I didn't want the hassle of hand sharpening, and clearly, given my past history with using dull knives, I'm not going to be caught up about a razor edge the way a purist might be.

   I don't need to sharpen my knives very often so I've only used this great knife sharpener twice. This is not much of an endorsement because I have no idea how it will hold up over time, but so far, so good. I found it very easy to use and very effective. It does a great job sharpening my knives, including a pocket knife I use to cut tape when I open boxes. As I said, so far, so good. I have no idea, however, how good it will be or how it will hold up after I've sharpened my knives 100 times. Based on it's price, it's been a good purchase so far.

   Upon receipt on the device, I sharpened every knife in the kitchen for my wife. She had stated that she wanted new knives because the ones she’s using are dull. So I said let’s just get an electronic sharpener. Did some research and browsing on Amazon and found this wonderful device. We love it and it really, really gets the job done.    Does exactly what it says......sharpens knives. It's not super fancy. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles like some do, but what is does....it does very well. I have some old knives in the kitchen that I have tried to sharpen in the past. They never seemed to get very sharp or hold an edge very long. Probably the tools I was using or my technique. Either way, they wouldn't cut hot butter. When this arrived, I opened it, read the instructions. plugged it in, and ran a blade through it. After about 30 seconds, that knife was sharper than the day I bought it. I immediately grabbed every knife I could find and went to town. Simple and easy to use and your blades will be SHARP!
