The only problem I had was that some of the old slides were packaged in cardboard and were a bit larger than the slide slot and I had to work to push them through; newer plastic mounted slides zipped right through. The quality of the output is excellent. I am glad I bought it.

The scanned pictures were good unless I tried to edit it from the scanner. When scanning, use the automatic settings. If the picture needs editing, use your computer's photo editor. The picture will be of a better quality.

However, I bought it mainly to see the negative, and for that it is excellent. You insert an SD card like is used in most cameras, and the images you take are stored on that; it does not store directly to a computer. You then use the SD card to transfer them to the computer.
