Gotta say, I was so surprised at how well this worked, hook up a garden hose and it does the rest. it took up the leaves on the bottom and all the dirt. I will say as I saw in 1 review, its not super rugged so when you hook it up it tends to have some weight to it so pick it up one hand high and one hand at the bottom to get it in the pool, and out.
