I brought this to cool room and get rid of the terrible glare that was coming off the neighbors house. It works like a charm. I am enjoying my home so much better now. I use to have to pull the curtains until the sun move which made it too dark during the daytime. For me there is nothing easy about installing any of the films for one reason my hands shake which doesn’t help. However the film is forgiving as you can pull it up again for realignment if needed. It does seem to make my house cooler. I liked it so much I have installed on all my windows. Just make sure your windows are very clean as this could cause an installation problem.

My husband managed to apply this by himself but would work better with 2 people. Make sure you spray the tint and window generously with soap/water mixture! Have towels on the floor to catch drippings. During the day, you cannot see into our house from front door and at night, unless someone is pressed against our door, you cannot see in.

It offered a nice sense of privacy and I honestly didn't even notice it until about day 2 of our stay. Looking from the inside out, this changes nothing, everything is clear and the sun shines through just fine. Looking from the outside in, it definitely looks like a distorted mirror in that it's not a perfect reflection, people won't be standing there staring at themselves which is odd itself, but you can't see inside super clearly. I didn't go up and peer inside like a creeper but walking up you can't see. Looking across a yard, you can't see in. I plan to put this on any windows where neighbors can look in. This product is such a perfect idea.

I suggest lightly spraying (misting) the window before applying, buying a rubber edged smoothing tool to smoothe out any bubbles/excess water and using a metal rugar and box knife to cut away the edges. VERY happy with this product and it only has a very light mirrored finish on the outside so it looks very nice as well. Great transparency, can still see very well outside.

This film significantly darkens the light in my bedroom, which was the main reason for my purchase. It also adds some privacy from the street during the daytime. At night you can see into the room from outside if my lights are on, but it looks a little bit darker than it would otherwise. As for the heat reduction claim, I didn't notice that much difference. It is definitely filtering out some UV rays so perhaps it is slowing down the heat, and it should help prevent items in the room from being bleached by the sun.
