I wish I would have bought this item sooner. This is nice to use if you are watching your child because it relieves pressure off their head. I would use this when I had my little one on a boppy lounger or in his bouncer to help prevent his head from getting flatter. Unfortunately I purchased this item after he already had flat spots on one side, although the item helped prevent the entire back of his head from flattening I did not purchase it sooner to prevent what was already flat. I have a happy spitter baby so even with the cover he spits all over it and it gets to the pillow so I have washed it a few times and dried it and it was still intact so cleaning isn’t that hard just takes a long tome to dry.
