I received the YOCTOSUN Head Mount Magnifier. What I was not getting from the other buyers reviews is the focal distance. So, I put the 2.5 lens in the head piece and to my astonishment I could see the test object on my table 14" from the middle of the nose piece on the headband holding the lens. I had clarity of the test object and stayed in focus. This items is far better than Visor. I had been using visor for many years. I bought this for soldering on my vehicle. My sister has some old head light magnifiers she had that were given to her from a friend who is a jeweler. I used them recently while I was at her house and thought....OMGOODNESS!!!!! I MUST have something like this in my bag of tricks! When I looked on Amazon because we all know you can find anything on here! ha ha I found so many options. I found some like hers, and then I found these! These were SOOOOO much better! I love the option of multiple glasses to switch out depending on what you are doing. I already wear glasses and I put them on, over my glasses and the bend in the magnifying glasses rested perfectly on the temple (side) of MY own glasses! I thought, hummm I wonder if they are designed that way or that was just a lucky break. Either way, perfection. I like that they are far enough away from my face that they are not hot or steam up from being too close to your face like having a mask on or something. When I had her version of, it was almost like having a welding mask on and gave me a headache. These are so open and airy that a mere "flip up" of the lens and you can do something else, take a break, and get back to what you were doing. They do kind of have a sci-fi look to them, but regardless they work great. I do crafts, sewing, drawing and can't wait to incorporate my new eye technology into my hobby life. After having gone through several other types of magnifying headsets, I can say that this is the best. I had several that had flip down lenses and a strap around the head. The headband would always loosen up and end up being more of a hinderance than a help, actually a bit dangerous . These are easily worn as eyeglasses and have no trouble staying on and usable, no slippage at all. I haven't needed to use the included elastic band with my medium size noggin so I can't comment on that. The lenses seem to be of very good quality and the lens caddy provided does a great job protecting them from the elements and keeping them organized. While I wouldn't use the headset to play racketball, it seems very sturdy yet lightweight. The LED light does a good job of illuminating the work area. There are several other products that look exactly like this magnifier with the exception of the manufacturers logo, I chose this one for no other reason that the manufacturer put his name on the product and am glad I did.

I used to use a pair of reading glasses and headlamp when I had detail work. This works so much better. I had to remove the nosepiece because I wear glasses most of the time. Fortunately it is easy to remove the two screws holding it on. After wearing it for a long time it can start to get a little uncomfortable. I'm talking 3+ hours straight - not 20-30 minutes. I'll probably need to add another thin layer padding eventually. None of this is something I'm prepared to hold against the product considering the price. I love the interchangeable lenses and the light, which was my biggest problem before ordering these magnifiers. The light is plenty bright, and when it wasn't bright enough it was a big enough difference that I knew new batteries were needed. I've already recommended these magnifiers to multiple people and offered to buy a second pair for my kid.

At my age, my eyesight was such that I needed an additional boost. I do watercolors and many times the details can make or ruin hours of work. I used to use two sets of reading glasses at the same time in order to do details my work required. However, using two sets of glasses at the same time was awkward and they often slipped off. I decided to look on Amazon for a solution. I discovered this product. I am more than pleased with this set. The lens snap in easily. If I need a higher magnification I can change out the lens easily. Then, the magnifiers can be flipped up and out of my way when they are not needed. While doing watercolors, I have to bend my head down. This set comes with an elastic headband which I can adjust to a comfortable fit. The magnifiers stay in place using this headband. The device does have weight but I have found it to be surprisingly light considering everything this product has and does. I am very happy with these magnifiers. I appreciate that I can change out the lens easily and quickly even while I am wearing the device.

Had this now for a couple of months and I have used these glasses for RC, guitar tweaking, soldering, 3D printer assembly and even reading. Sucks getting old! My only complaint is that I wish it had more lighting brightness but then again it probably would need bigger batteries and weigh more. In general, the lighting is really not an issue as I can use my headband LED light with these glasses. I like that fact that the design looks like some futuristic pair of glasses...I had a headband type magnifier which I can't stand wearing for a long time (much like my headband LED light). Although, like regular glasses the nose piece can dig into the nose but still this by far is my favorite magnification glasses so far. Now my only problem is I only have one set...need one for the garage and one for the office.

I bought this magnifier after looking at various other devices and reading disappointment in the focal length. Looking at this device it seemed to be thought out from looking at the graphics and description. Thankfully I was right. The device comes with a case to hold the magnifier lenses and a cleaning cloth. It also has a elastic strap that can replace the traditional legs of the glasses. The LED light is bright AND adjustable to point more forward or downward. The lenses snap into the holder at one point in the swing and are more locked at other points. The lens holder can be adjusted closer or further from the face for better focal length. Lenses can also be tipped up if not needed at the moment.

I picked 'distance lens' for my cataract surgery and now I'm darn near blind up close from 0-1 meter. I'm a mechanic and do VERY close up work to check why something failed. This set up works perfect for me ! Careful with similar looking brand that is $3-4 less as I bought that one also to compare and the lenses are smaller. Looks like same manufacturer with B1 in model (small version). Well made and really works perfect for everyday magnifications. 1x to 3.5x are great ranges. Look for model in top right of box of 9892B2 if there is a box picture but just look at 'single lens size' in the details and compare to the cheaper one by the same manufacturer (but different importer brand). Now I have one in each of my two work trucks, one at home, one in my 'go bag' for disaster relief volunteer work (the smaller one I bought to compare), one in garage tool box. Very happy.
