I'm right here, weighing down your skull!" type of presence. You don't need to dismiss it like you probably would a material guardian angel physically hovering over you constantly, making you want to get rid of it and happily take the life risks instead.

   I like this helmet. It's light and comfortable, fits well on my medium "long oval" head. It doesn't rattle around on my head like some others I've worn. The adjuster works well and is easy to use with a good size wheel/handle. Looks good, has good coverage, good venting. Seems less likely that the plastic visor will come partly loose and start flopping all over like several I've had in the past. I like it so far.

   This helmet saved me today. I am a pretty active rider and had never falling off the bike until today. I saw a racoon on the parking lot while going down the road and trying to tell my daughter who was behind me, but I squeezed the front brake instead of the rear brake, I was threw off the bike. I landed on my hands first, then my right shoulder and finally I had an impact to my head. Without a doubt, without the helmet, I would definitely need to get into the ER and who know what other issue I would have.

   This is a very attractive helmet, with contrasting pink/white/grey adding to visibility which is always a plus for a cyclist. It's also a very comfortable helmet, with plenty of vents to keep your head cool (I recommend wearing a soft cloth headband to keep hair and sweat out of your face while riding). But most importantly, it feels like a very safe helmet. Fortunately I haven't had to find out for myself in an accident yet, but the adjustable chin strap and an easily adjustable dial in the back make it easy to keep the helmet snug and secure on your head. This is exactly what I was looking for as a nice-looking basic helmet, easy to put on and go for a ride, makes me feel very safe and protected and at a fair price point.

(4) I particularly like the LED at the back, even though I already have a reflector and a rear light on my bicycle and didn’t buy the helmet because of the LED, you can never have too much safety! (Photo shows a white dot of some sort in the middle of the LED, that is just a photography anomaly, it can be set to solid red, flashing red, or off. No white dot.)

   I don't really like to wear hats, so I was leary about getting a bike helmet. My fears were very unfounded. This helmet is very light and the fit is very comfortable. I have long hair & wear a ponytail for outdoor activities. I am able to pull the ponytail through one of the vents so that it is not bulging & hot inside the helmet- a major plus! Both the straps inside and at the chin are adjustable. And it met the riding test too- I've done a couple of long (about 2 hour) rides and I'm actually happy to wear the helmet. Now, just hoping I never have to actually experience whether its safety features work.

   I've done several hundred miles of riding using this Schwinn Thrasher helmet so far (about 2.5 years worth), and yet have absolutely zero complaints to report. It seems to be well made, and quite a bit better looking than some comparably priced, super-shiny and really ugly looking ones I've seen for sale. I especially like the ratcheting dial-adjuster; much preferable to strap-type adjusters.

   I had not been wearing a helmet for biking. I am not an avid biker but then realize accidents can happen on the bike trail along the beach as much as anywhere. So I decided I needed to buy a helmet. I must say I was quite surprised at how comfortable this helmet is. I like the versatility in the way you can adjust it to fit. Additionally I really like the visor that is attached to the front of the helmet. It works as well as wearing a hat, which I did before I started wearing a helmet. So for those who are concerned about the comfort inn wearing a bike helmet, this is been a very good option for me

   I have never worn a bike helmet in my life and have been bike riding for 40 years. Since people have been texting and driving and sometimes I like to go off road, I thought it may be time to protect myself. I have never fallen, so I don't know if it actually works. I bought it based off the reviews of it actually working for some who have had accidents. I was doing physical therapy for my hand and I brought it in and my therapist approved. She said you always want to make sure it is a helmet that has been side tested as well as front and back. For some reason there are a lot of helmets that only get tested front to back. I have tried it out. It is very light weight and adjustable. I almost forget it is there when riding. It also blocks the sun! Never thought of that until it happened. Lastly, it is stylish.
