The medium nib is smooth (very little feedback) and ink flow is generous (a wet writer) with no skipping or blotting (using Kaweco Royal Blue ink). This pen has a nice heft and finish, giving the impression of all metal construction and a classic style. The cap seats with a satisfying click, one of the best I've experienced on a fountain pen. The pocket clip is quite stiff so it may not be an ideal pocket pen. The moderately triangular grip makes it a good choice for fountain pen beginners and more experienced users who appreciate a subtle influence on their grip. This pen looks as good and performs as well as many of my more expensive name brand pens. I have no hesitation in recommending it, particularly for new or budget conscious users.

I like the honest reviews previously provided. I smoothed up the nibs on both pens I bought, though I didn't have to. The fit and finish differ on the two pens I bought. If you buy only one pen the previous comment will not make sense to you, buy at least two and you will understand my point. This is not a negative, just reaffirming you are getting the quality control you are paying for. This pen is a really good starter fountain pen for a few reasons. 1- Entry Price, especially if you do not like it once its in your hand. 2-Looks and feels pretty durable with the metal body. 3- Easy to swap parts to repair or improve. That last one is what makes this a good buy. You may get lucky and it writes great right out of the plastic sleeve it comes in. If not, there are several suppliers of nice steel nibs that can be swapped in less than 30 seconds. Lots of videos out there with people replacing the nibs on this exact pen. I write a lot of notes for work daily, enjoy using fountain pens, and like to tinker. The like to tinker part make these a great buy, and also great writing pens as well.

I have half a dozen fountain pens from rather inexpensive to luxury. I liked the color and shape of this pen and thought I'd give it a try. It has a nice weight and is "fatter" than most of my pens. I was surprised by how smoothly it writes and also the quality and look of the nib. The only thing I don't care for is the snap mechanism of the cap. It feels more like a magnet than a true snap lock. It comes off very easily. However, if you pick it up by the cap, the pen stays put unless you give it a good shake. Same with picking it up by the barrel. Just something to be aware of; it does not negate the great qualities of this pen. I'm very pleased I tried this pen.

I am fairly new to the fountain pen market though, I have always been a fan of writing instruments. I have really never been able to afford or justify the purchase of a luxury fountain pen though. I am able to consider some luxury options now but, I wanted to start out slow to learn how to write/fill/care for a fountain pen and not spend a luxury price just to find out I couldn't or wouldn't enjoy the experience. I gathered information watching a review of this pen and for the price (just unbelievable really) decided to give it a try.

Full bodied metal pen, with a beautiful Red finish ( silver and black trim ). Finger grip has indentations that fit my hand nicely and body size is good for larger hands. This pen comes with a converter. The nib that came with the pen is a Medium that writes very smoothly but wetly, I will replace with a Fine nib that I prefer.

Every person I’ve shown this to is very jealous and thinks it’s epic. One even asked if I got it on vacation in London. I’ve never been to London. What a great value for the money. Writes smooth and piece of cake to refill with the built in converter. Makes me feel classy.

By itself, the handle does not stand out, but a flexible pen gives great opportunities to change the thickness of the lines in the process of writing or drawing. In this version, I recommend the pen. Taking into account the price, you can take even just try. The main thing is to pick up the ink.

As the title states, i love the red/gold sheen pattern on the pen. It's a good weight to feel solid in the hand. The grip is a little triangular, but not forcefully so because it's rubberized, so room for adaptability. The nib is smooth and flows well, not the smoothest, but for the price i didnt expect butter glide.
