There's a switch to toggle off, on, and 30 mins. I like the 30 min option. If you forget to turn it off, it will power off automatically. The usb charge is a breeze to use. The LED lights under the silicone give a soft glow. I love being able to rest my phone on the feet of the duck. It even works for an iPhone plus. The charge lasts longer than I'd thought. I used them on a 2 week RV trip, and only charged them once. All said, these are a win.
