   I've been a non-competitive bodybuilder for most of my life and have shaved for over 30 years. So the hair on my back is a bit of a nuisance. It was painful to let my wife shave it with a couple of trimmers. Well, this three-tongued dog did the job. The back of the razor may have a foaming effect, but not with thicker "lotion" shaving creams. If gel is deposited between the hands, then put a small rubber "nib" in, it may spread. I just use a special "lotion" to re-grow the "brush/foam".

   I'm a hairy guy and it comes in patchy. Looking at my back would drive me nuts because I couldn't do anything about it on my own. I had once thought that I would ask someone to help me, I never did. I always thought it was a rather bizarre request. I haven't really tried taking this traveling with me but it's one of the best things I've bought in a while. If you're thinking about it, give it a try. Even as a stranger, I find it difficult to believe that it'll disappoint you.

I had to have it shaved regularly by someone else. It took over 30 minutes each time, now I can do it by myself in under 10 minutes! It allows me to shave the fat rolls on my sides and the areas of fat on my back and up above my shoulders/ lower back with ease.

   I wasn't quite sure about how this trimmer would work but I am happy to report it works perfectly for me! I had used razors but they took for ever to get hair off and needed multiple passes. Then I found an electric trimmer and it worked ok but tended to hurt a bit when my hair was longer.

   I was skeptical at first. I thought it would leave my back patchy, only getting some portions. But i was able to shave my entire back with it and quickly too. The blades are comfortable and it feels like a back scratch or massage. I shaved dry as it said you can. It takes a little getting used to with arm placement and such, but once you get the hang of it it's super fast. I did not notice any skin outbreaks, rashes, cuts, acne, etc in the days following, so that's great too.

Took a minute to get the hang of it but as soon as I figured out the technique that worked best for me of light slower short strokes it was great. I was skeptical about shaving dry for obvious reasons but it was fine. I did have some irritation , small scratches but if I had taken more time I think I could have avoided it. I only used dry so I'm not sure about in the shower or with saving cream. But it did its job well and I'm sure it will be great when I need to use it again.

   I think it works best for us normal dads or guys that aren't bodybuilders. Sorry but that's just the way it is. If you're more round or don't have very defined muscles in your back it's just easy to use. I liked using both dry and in shower. I am going to keep using it. You might help in some areas if you want to get it done faster.

   I purchased the original bakBlade (1.0) about 10 years ago and it worked very well. This new model (2.0) has two blades rather than the one blade as with the 1.0. The blades are narrower but that actually helps with controlling the shave. Shaving is quicker and cleaner than anything else I have tried.
