Go ahead and get it!! I've struggled for last 4 years opening jars with silicone/rubber grips and have actually had to change meal plans because I could not open lids. You know you try the grip, try tapping the lid, try running lid under hot water, ALL the TRYS!! Bought this as a "splurge" for myself and don't regret it at all!!
