I wish it was a tad more lightweight, the rubber is a bit heavy, but it also makes it more durable and able to take the abuse of smashing it into my carry-on. I'm learning to play right now and wanted to be able to practice on a regular sized keyboard while traveling because I hate using cumbersome iPad apps. The sound would be better on an iPad, but I'm purely using it for technical practice as opposed to recording. I have not used the midi function, so I'm not sure if it's any better when you try to record into an audio program like GarageBand.
