   I had no concerns about safety based on really thorough recommendations on different CPST sites, and it’s explained well on the manufacturers website. The manufacturer also explained that this can be used as young as 3. The CPSTs don’t recommend that but compared to a booster, this does keep the kid in place more (less wiggling around), so even though my son is not quite booster ready, he remained in place with this vest.

   This was great for a trip out of state for a family wedding. I tucked this in the luggage since we were traveling light. I did have to review the video of how to open it up and install while we were getting our rental car. The same thing happened when it came time to collapse it, I had forgotten and had to pop up the video. I had practiced previously, but it had been about a month prior, so I had forgotten. When I have to use it again I will definitely practice a few times so I don’t get in a bind!
