The product does let light in and keep heat out! My cheap RV windows had bubble wrap, but now I get a view. It requires some skill to install when you don't have two windows in the whole house that are alike! I would not have been able to do the precise cutting; trimming and measuring required. I only had one piece that didn't stick. So, my neighbor did another one and I used the other piece on my hot tub enclosure. We learned to leave the gap and used roll on black adhesive to cover the line. Looks good; technologies keep improving. We will still need indoor or outdoor plastic storm window kits come winter, but I believe with the additional sunlight, it will stay warmer. RV living in the winter is way different than a stick built home.

Best tips I can give is make sure your window is super duper clean or you’ll get little bubbles everywhere. Instructions call for soapy water, but that didn’t work for me. Just spray regular water, and LOTS of it. That being said I’m pretty happy with the results! In the pictures you can see the film on the right side (left on the inside) and how well it obscures seeing in and all it does it darken it slightly on the inside

This stuff really works. It definitely adds privacy to your windows. It's reflective during daytime and very dark during the night. You can see a silhouette from outside if it's dark outside and fully light inside. I would definitely say that this window film is a score! As for putting it on the windows, it will help if there are 2 people because the roll is hard to keep flat when your trying to measure and cut. But other than that just follow the directions and you're good to go!

Living in Southern California, if you live in a beach community chances are you don’t have A/C. One window in out home was too bright & the heat rising to three second floor doesn’t help. So I thought I’d give this product a try. Let me just tell you what a BIG difference it’s made. I’ve added a pic so you could see the difference. One side of the window has the film, the other didn’t yet. I am so happy with this product! We didn’t use soapy water, just water in a spray bottle and the whole process takes a couple of minutes at best. I used a normal window squeegee to sooth it out. I did find it was helpful to have a wad of paper towels to help smooth the film out.
