   If you�re thinking about it. Stop and just do it!!! We went from my kid acting like we where trying to murder her when it was hair washing time to it being a breeze. It used to be a struggle just to get her hair wet and now I am able to wash and condition her hair and she just sits there letting it happen. I could not recommend this product more. I saw a review talking about mold but it�s not that hard to dry it after use to prevent that.

   My kids love love LOVE this! We’ve tried the foam ones and they’re either too flimsy to actually keep the water from spilling over or they’re too small for my kids’ giant heads. This one actually fits my 3yo AND my 7yo comfortably while totally keeping water out of their eyes. I rarely rave about a product, but how often is something so affordable actually a good buy??

   Why did I not buy this sooner!? My daughter hates bath time. No, she loves bath time, but she hates the part where we have to wash her hair. We used to use something similar to this when I was young, so I had the idea to google and try to find one. My google search presented me with a few options, and I ended up choosing this product because of the handle on the front. I'm so glad that I did. That handle is a lifesaver. As soon as the 'hat' goes on, my kids immediately put their heads down. I have to force them to look up with that handle. Love this product

   I have always considered myself to be fairly skilled at washing my kids� hair....until my 3rd child came along. She has ALWAYS screamed and thrashed when I tried to wash her hair, which made it impossible to do well. As a result, she learned to hate it more. Her fear and hatred of having any water in her eyes AND ears (I can deal with the eyes well enough if they sit still but not the ears with a regular cup) rubbed off on her older autistic brother. I tried the hats and visors but she would rip them off and a little water always seeped through or hit her ears. He also started crying during hair washing. I bought this device a few weeks ago and have done several bath times and each time keeps getting better. Now that they trust the device to keep the water out of their eyes and ears, they can sit still and not cry at all. This thing has saved my sanity. I�m so glad I found this in time for summer when they need daily baths.

   This changed bathtime from a screaming match to fun! My son hated getting water in his eyes/ears, but this solved that problem 100%. He let us put it right on his head and didn't even squawk when we dumped a bucket of water over his head. I would recommend starting with this right off the bat for bath time.

   Top 5 best baby purchases ever! I have no problem washing my 18 month old's hair. By now she knows how the splash guard works and sits still while I rinse her hair. As a result, she gets no water in her eyes. My mom is amazed by it and talks about how horrible it was to wash my hair when I was a baby. We don't have that problem in our house thanks to this product!

   You guys!!! This thing works! My kid at 12 months really hated getting her hair rinsed. She wouldn�t let us tip her head back, so water would just be streaming down her face and into her eyes. Screaming and crying always ensued. It was making bathtime miserable. Enter this ingenious device. I took the advice of another reviewer (great tip!) who wore it as a hat during the kiddo�s bath to help with any uncertainty/fear. It took a few baths, but before long she was using it when we rinsed her head without complaint. No more water pouring down her face... and thus no more tears! We did cut the strap off it. Not sure if that would be helpful for a bigger kid, but on my now 15-month old, it was just always in the way. We do sort of hold it on her head on the sides to make sure the little rubber trough is making contact all around her forehead when we rinse her hair (and so she can�t just rip it off). Now my little one reminds us anytime we are bathing her about the �hat�. Sometimes insistently. She especially loves when my husband or I have it on before she gets to �wear� it. No regrets, would buy 100x over.

   Enter this ingenious device. I took the advice of another reviewer (great tip!) who wore it as a hat during the kiddo’s bath to help with any uncertainty/fear.    Works very well for a very water-defensive 9-year-old with a somewhat large head for a 9-year-old. This has been the key to doing stand-up showers for hair washing.
   
   You do have to place it an an angle, as they show in the diagram. And you have to make sure it is pressed against the forehead, so there are no gaps. Our child holds it on, rather than having us hold it. Make sure they are not tipping their head too far forward, but it doesn't have to be tilted backward either, just upright is enough. Then we can use either the hand shower spray (carefully aimed), or a cup to pour water over the head. This device drains all the water off behind the ears, which is crucial for our young one, who hates to get any water on the face or in the ears.
   
   The body of the unit is made of semi-flexible plastic, allowing it to be opened to position it on the head. Inside the lip of the unit a V-shaped rubber "gasket" is attached firmly to the unit all around the C-shape, allowing small gaps to be filled to make a seal on the head.
   
   My child's head is 20.5" circumference, and somewhat square-ish. I don't think this unit would be small enough for a baby, but it would probably work for a preschooler. I guess for a toddler it would depend on the size of the head. At the widest part of the unit, the semi-rigid part measures 5 5/8" diameter (14.5 cm). It can open up to maybe 6 3/4" diameter. The rubber "gasket" is is about 1" wide inside of the semi-rigid portion.
