I've used a friend's expensive model and it worked fine, but I wanted to give a cheaper model a try myself. I bought this one and have been very pleasantly surprised. It's lightweight, seems durable and well made, and it quite accurate. I tested it out with weight I had and it seems spot on. I'm going to keep this in my luggage and use it every time I travel. It comes with two spare batteries and a hook attachment, so that's nice as well.

I tested it out with a 5lb gym weight and it measured it accurately, give or take a few decimals (probably just because of the swing). It's comfortable to use with a smooth shape under the scale, which makes lifting 50+lbs of weight much easier. I appreciated the additional hook as well.. I was able to use it on a box that's awkwardly shaped and doesn't have a handle. Definitely worth buying.

When traveling, I don't need ounces, but that's available. I like the strap that attaches to handle as it provides great balance while weighing, but there's also a hook that can be used. Finally, is the ease of getting to the battery when it needs replacing. I travel a lot internationally and accurate weight is very important. This small device is the best scale I have ever had.
