We could not make it 30 minutes down the road without my daughter complaining that her neck hurt, she wasn't comfortable, and the tears! We love this footrest. We have the prior model which has been used by our now 5 year old for the past 2 years and it's holding up well (except the little clips that are used to hold the poles in place). But we like this one even better because it now has a support beam from the footrest to the floor and the clips are no longer needed in the new design.Both of our kids (ages almost 3 and 5) are more comfortable using the footrest and no longer complain of foot pain when riding in the car forward facing. We finally realized the pain our son was complaining of was being caused by poor circulation to his dangling feet. Problem solved with the footrest! It also helps (not solves) keep him from putting his feet on the back our seat. We love that it is fully adjustable and has grown with him over the years. Well worth the cost.
