It comes along with a leather case which is very well built for carrying the monocle and also holds the close up lens very well. It also comes with a wrist lanyard but would definitely prefer a neck lanyard. This item is very pricey but for a Leica it is definitely worth it.

The leather case it comes with is very nice (has a belt loop on the backside) & has a handy holder for the the close up lens. I use the close up lens more than I thought I would, it is very handy for looking at insects & allows you to stay a nice distance back. It comes with a very nice wrist strap, but would have preferred it was a neck strap. I bought the neck strap at an added cost & love it (is just like the wrist strap but longer. I must admit I use both straps. Is a lot of money but worth it, should last a lifetime with proper handling. Being small it can go everywhere with me without it being a burden. I love bird watching, so I am always prepared. Would recommend it to anybody that is prepared to spend the big bucks it takes to buy it.

Top seals with a magnetic clasp. When you open the top, the monocular pops out - they have a cord connected to the top, which pulls the monocular up. Very nice!
