We brought it to the beach, assembled it out of the package there and hardly had to throw it up to make it fly. I literally stood there with the string in my hand in my pocket for 20 minutes exerting no effort and it flew like a charm. The tail spins and is super cool! We have tried to fly kites before where there isn't steady wind and of course that isn't as fun or successful. There were def no issues with this kite though. Tons of compliments from passerby's!
