   I've been using these hog ring pliers for various ongoing projects. They are quick, effective, and easy to use. Loading can be a bit tedious because the rings are all connected with a row of tape on either side, and if that tape loosens up all the rings come apart. Be careful when loading it, like you would with a staple gun and it works out well. It's definitely an improvement over manually loading each ring.

   Loading the staples is a little tricky but once you figure it out it's a cinch. I got this to install safety fence to a high tension wire along the top, middle, and bottom. The staple opening is just right for this application. It greatly speeds up the installation of the fence and where two people were required to install the hog rings (one to load and separate the rings on the old style single ring pliers) one can do it with ease.

However, I used this tool to attached shade cloth to a dog run and a bunch of other projects and it worked beautifully. I love products, this tool is very sturdy and well made.

   I have used these for fastening chicken wire together, and for fastening chicken wire to 12 1/2 gauge tension wire. They have worked fabulously. The tool almost never misfires (in which the staple slips out instead for being pressed into a ring). The business end is hooked, so that you can use it to grab one wire and pull it toward the second wire before squeezing the handles to form the ring. This makes the job much easier, because you don't have to hold the wires together with your other hand.
