I put it in my door every night before going to bed and though it may not be the biggest or best form of protection, it gives me a lot of peace of mind as an extra lock. I initially thought it wasn't going to work, since there is a very large gap between the door frame and the door - the tester fit without me having to open the door, and the gap is so wide that I could slide it up and down without any need for slack - but it still works perfectly. I tried pulling the door open with just this in the door, deadbolts unlocked, and it does the trick. Tried pulling it open and yanking it through - nothing - the door would not open. So glad I have this! Gives me a lot of peace mind.
