   In my search for a lighted magnifying glass on a swing arm, for small electronics repair work I stumbled upon this item and I am very glad that I did. The head mount magnifier allows me to take the magnification wherever I go rather than having to bring whatever it is I am working on to a stand or desk mounted magnifier. Again, compared to a mounted (swing-arm) magnifying glass, the headset allows me to easily and quickly adapt my viewing position such that it does not interfere with the job at hand. Desk mounted or stand magnifiers can require constant adjusting and/or compromising either your field of view or focus as you change hand positions, angles or the component you are working on. The headset allows me to focus in on exactly what I want, where I want and exactly when I want allowing me to continue focus in on the job at hand. Finally, the different snap-in lenses allow me to select the magnification that is appropriate for the job. With desk-mounted/stand magnifiers, you are stuck with one magnification. The fact that the headset also includes dual LED lights is great bonus. Once again with the light pointed exactly where you need it, you don't have to worry about constant adjustment of an external light and/or desk-mounted/stand magnifiers. Don't get me wrong... desk-mounted/stand based lighted magnifiers definitely have their rightful place. If I had an appropriate space for a desk-mounted/stand based magnifier, I would likely have one of those as well.

   This is a really well designed magnifier. You can either use the ear rests to wear it like regular glasses, or they pop right off and you can use the included headband instead. You can also wear regular glasses under them without problems. Everything's adjustable from the angle of the lenses to the lens distance to the LED light angle. The adjustable lens distance is especially nice so you can either magnify most of your field of view, or move them further away so you can also see normally around it. The lenses themselves are plastic but good quality (hardened) and you get five different ones in a little case. Those are also easy to pop in and out. It's just well designed overall.

   I got this with a damaged box, but the magnifier, light and lenses were all in perfect condition! If there's one available, I usually always get the (used-like new) items because 99% of the time it's just the box that's damaged! If it just says that the package is damaged but will come in original packaging, I always get it, depending on the item, if it says that there's a possibility of scratches or scuffs on it...... like I said, depending on what it is, will determine if I think it's worth the savings to deal with a few scratches! The only thing that I would change about this is I wish that the lenses were about another 1/2" to 3/4" wider, because of the slight offset it kind of messes with your depth perception when you turn your head a certain way the magnified view isn't wide enough and you have tilt your head to get the full magnified view in front of you, but honestly I feel like it might be my lack of experience with the thing in my head, hopefully I will start to get the hang of it, or I might just have to buy a nice big table top magnifying lens that I can work under.

   My Mom has had MD for about 15 years and has been under regular care and checkups for this condition. With the treatments she has had along with the EyeVites she has been taking for the last 25 years, he vision has slowly degraded but not to the point of being blind. Central vision to some degree has become a loss but her peripheral vision has remained in tact. When she looks at small type, it either gets lost or it is distorted enough to hamper cognition of the letter or number. This is where the magnifier comes in. Magnifying glasses, single eye devices became more and more useless and when I had found a jewelers ocular, she tried it. It improved her perceptions of letters and numbers but the squinting and having to get real close was an obstacle to making the ocular useful. The search was on for a better way. I researched oculars and in that research I discovered that this device, the magnifier might be a major improvement for her vision. THE PRICE was right and added to that there are 5 sets of lenses to work with. When received, I started her out on the second level to see if that would help and it did indeed make an improvement, but more was needed. We stopped at the next to last power and that made a marked improvement. Yes she still had to look off to see the letters and numbers but she could discriminate what the numbers and letters and numbers were enough to read them. She now uses this magnifier to use her Nook tablet to play her skill games with greater ease.

   This product has exceded my expectations! It works perfectly, easily goes over my prescription glasses....or wear over contacts. I can adjust the lens angle as well as change out the strength of the lenses. It even has a little light with switch on the bridge of the lens. Lots of options! N.B to those of a “certain age” ;) The extra lenses are especially helpful as I have cataracts growing and am able to increase the lens power ....until my cataracts are operable...then I can return to lower power :) (Only drawback were the rubber inserts in the ear piece/temples of the glasses. They were catching in my curly hair.....however, I was able to remove them easily and problem solved!) These would be really nice if they were not plastic....but, they are well worth the price paid! Definitely recommend.

   I was pretty skeptical that these wouldn't be that good for the price, but I have to admit they perform much better than I anticipated. All the adjustments work very well together, the are very secure on the head, the LED light is bright and adjustable, and the view through the lenses is very good. I don't think they would take abuse or heavy duty frequent use, but to have around the house for a few technical projects here and there they are perfect and I've had many projects over the years I'd would have loved to have these for. The only thing I'd like to see different would be for the lenses to be larger to provide a wider field of view, but that's probably just because I'm new to these types of products. My guess is whenever I'm using them to work on something close up I'll be focused on a very small part/area and the field of view will be more than adequate. It would also be nice if they had a lens with a higher magnification, but that may run into complications with working distance and having to hold the item too close to your eyes/lens to work on it in focus.

   I bought this to help get into finer details painting miniatures for D&D and it’s perfect! I tried a stationary magnifier but it was an awkward distance, I had to look through it just right, plus it was hard to coordinate because of the loss of depth perception through only one lens. I decided to try this goggle style so I could hold the minis closer and have normal depth perception. I’ve only used the max 3.5x magnifier and it’s a game changer. I can use my tiniest brush and actually get the paint where I want it, without smushing it on everything else around it. Actually, the details are so good when magnified, I’ve had to go back and make things bolder to be seen from a distance. (I’m finally able to paint eyebrows and lips in the right places!) It took a little getting used to as far as where to hold my hands. The max magnifier has a pretty small range of focus, which is understandable. I used the light to see places I missed or to find details. It’s bright enough but is very blue and not good for color. I first wore it with the ear pieces over my normal glasses but it was awkward so I switched to the elastic headband that was much more comfortable. I put the nose piece behind my glasses, between my glasses and my face. Eventually I just took off my glasses. Make sure the forehead piece is snug up against your forehead to take some of the pressure off the bridge of your nose. It got a little uncomfortable after like an hour so I took a little break here and there. I recommend it to everyone!

   I needed these, and well I really wanted something like this as the eyes are over worked and open too many hours a day working which means starting at monitors and laptop screens. So when I am not and trying to repair, fix or troubleshoot some electronic item or read a manual I found I was using a magnifying glass more and more which is a PITA as that requires one of your two hands. Then add balancing a small flashlight, a screwdriver or similar tool and don't forget the part itself....well you get the ideal. As always I was skeptical that the price was too good to be true and I would probably end up tossing them or breaking them quickly since they must be cheaply made. Well I happy to say I have not done either and every time I pull them out to use I get a slight grin as I really feel like I got away with one here at this price. Its a little guilt like I stole them but i think its more pride and joy that I feel like I didn't get robbed after a purchase.

   This is awesome! I can work on my jewelry design again! So far so good with the product. I wear glasses so I use the adjustable straps instead of the over the ear bracket. The lens comes in different strength and has it's own protective cartridge and soft cleaning rag. The led lights is BRIGHT! This product is a problem solver. My husband used it too in order to read it's manual...lol Going to order another one for him as well.
