Obviously, this is related to muscle tension, so I'll have a little more pain after a long period of sitting without a pillow than I used to, but that has subsided as I get used to it.

   I've been wearing it while my back heals and I've been upright for over a year now. It straightens my neck and lifts my head and gives me confidence. I'm not saying it's magic, but like "with diet and exercise" it has helped me overcome the physical pain of back pain and the emotional pain of knowing I'm getting older. I still need to wear it to check my posture but it makes me more aware of my body and has worked very well for me beyond just changing my routine. I like to think of it as a shock collar, it's a tool to get results but it won't fix my back on its own.

Is something I've been struggling with even though I'm physically fit, it's just hereditary. As noted in the instructions I will continue to wear the brace, working up from 20 minutes a day to an hour a day. I expect my muscle memory will be corrected to reduce or eliminate my slouching.

For the folks who criticized this device for hurting in the armpits, well yes it will do that if it is worn improperly; and by that I mean that if you fight the device and slouch with it on, yes it's uncomfortable under the arms.
