I tend to attempt to pack my bags to be at least 5lbs under the limit in case I discover any must have souvenirs, like a bottle of fancy syrup. All my dreams of chugging bottles of blueberry, strawberry, lilikoi, or lemon syrups are preserved whenever I can bring this little doodad in my carry on. Also I sometimes use it to monitor my wife's bags weight as she often packs with reckless abandon potentially disrupting my stupendous salaciously syrupy fantasies. In the past she has packed her bags close to 60lbs and this little nifty scale had no trouble thwarting her ridiculous indifference to weight management. It has become a great standard of regulation in our traveling endeavors and I can't imagine packing without it.
