Of course it fell out of the sky many times, ran into the house & had to be rescued from a tree with a crash. Nicely comes with extra propellers. The next day he sent me a video of him at the park with it soaring, zooming & doing loops. He said it was the best gift he received, more enjoyable than any RC car or drones from previous years. After playing with it for a few days he flew it too high and a wind took it out of our neighborhood. So...I bought him and my daughter another one. This plane is definitely for beginners, my son is an aviation enthusiast and was able to learn tricks and different maneuvers in a small amount of time. The remote is sturdy, the plane itself doesn’t appear to be durable. We’ve had issues with wheels falling off on landing, but other than that, my kids - 11 year old boy and 14 year old girl enjoy it. I crashed it so many times. It did not even break. After a day I had a problem with me plane elevator servo. It stoped working. I called them. They gave me replacement for it. With the three modes, he was able to get used to flying the plane with all the gyros on before progressing to the next level where he could do some loops, etc. This is a light-weight plane, so don't plan to fly it in heavy wind. Also, find a clear area devoid of trees - or bring a long pole for when it inevitably gets lodged in the one tree to be found for miles around :) The propeller come off fairly easily (by design so the motor doesn't get damaged upon impact) so be sure to bring the spare ones, provided, with you in case you can't find it back.
