To dry the mat, I stick it up with suction cups to the side of the bath wall, and the water drains out. That way no mildew or anything happens. Note that the suction is firm, so to take off the cup, you pull the small tab. I enjoy bathing with this pillow.

For those complaining, the point of the mat is not for it to be the entire length of the tub. Your feet and legs are meant to hang over it. The mat under your behind is to keep you from sliding as well as to provide padding, you don't need that for your calves and feet. Perhaps you should read closely the specs of items before purchasing so that you're fully informed.
