Instructions:

After trimming the eyebrows and without applying any skincare products or makeup, shape the outline of your eyebrows as you desire.

When used properly the eyebrow pen does exactly as advertised. Its waterproof and doesn't smear. The pigment is very bold, so if you're looking for more of a natural look, you'd want to use this product very lightly. Using it free hand was difficult as I am new to using this type product, but when I used the stencils that were provided, I was able to get a much more desirable shape of my liking and then I free hand added to little spots that the stencil didn't cover. I assume the more you use it, the faster you will get at it, but at first you do need to have a little patience till you get use to the product as it doesn't glide on like powder shadow or an eyebrow pencil, but more like a liquid liner with not as heavy of a liquid release from the applicator tip.
