Description

Solar Powered Led Animal Repeller

The product uses infrared pyroelectric sensor,the sensor is associated with reaction sensitivity and movement direction of the animals.It is not sensitive to radial movement but most sensitive to transverse movement. Therefore, if the animal is stationary or close to the product Straightly without crossing movement,infrared sensors will be unable to work on animals because of Induction failure

Features:

  • A strong ultrasonic wave to frighten animals. The wave is activated when an animal enters the PIR Sensor range and then the animals feel uncomfortable and will run away from the area.

  • A strong flashing LED to scare animals. The strong flashing LED will be activated when an animal enters the area, then the animal will be scared and flee away.

  • In order to have better effect, we add alarm sound to scare wild animals.


Instruction:

  • Button “SENS” (Left): Is for adjusting sensitivity and distance. By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the range of protection. To repel small animals, turn the knob up to the right. – Button “FREQ” (Right): Frequency control. By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the frequency.

I bought it to put in my garden to keep two very greedy woodchucks from eating all my vegetables and flowers. They used to munch there every day and it's been two weeks since I put this thing up and they haven't gone near it. In fact no animals go near it.     Works great so far! I just got this tonight and already put 2 in my yard where our Labradoodle has been digging. I used three AA batteries inside of the chargeable ones provided because I didn't want to wait until the solar charged the included batteries up. Sure enough, dog went to her usual digging spot in the yard. The motion sensor picked up her presence and the sound and LED flashed. She ran away immediately and went back once again to check it out. She hasn't returned to the spots and is staying clear of the areas where the Hoonts are located.

When I go into the yard now the dog barks once I look at him and he puts his head down and then lays down. It is solar powered, It has adjustable frequency and sensitivity c/w strobe light and one can tell if it is actually working. It comes complete with a metal stake and the plastic weather tight housing does not appear to be as affected by UV light as others on the market. We purchased two more this year as deer deterrents to protect our garden and flower beds and expect them to last for several years. Price point, for what they are, appears high but they work.

What's worse is that the gulls would wedge the clam shells in the separations of our dock planks, to pull the meat out, making it very hard for us to remove the shells. Our neighbor bought the first pair of these, and we were absolutely amazed that we have not had issues since we started using them. We are on our second set of these, and they absolutely work. Our neighbors' docks still have shells and crab legs strewn about, and our dock is clean and clear! Great product, will absolutely continue using this.

    I had a stray cat problem well over a year ago. They would come at night dig up the beds and make a mess around the house. So I bought this unit because nothing else worked to keep them away.     Yes, yes, yes! Easy to operate. We set this up in our backyard to keep cats out-- they kept pooping in my garden. It's disgusting having to clean up cat poop from your neighbor's cat! Well, this little gadget did the trick. We watched as cats would literally sneak up to it, see it/hear it, then dart away. An intermittent schedule of rotating between the front and back yard worked well. No cats for at least a month now, and we only had this on intermittently for two weeks (conditioning is a marvelous thing). Now I use it to keep my dogs away from one corner of the yard.

They have stayed clear of the backyard with one that I saw actually climb back up the block wall and go into another yard! I am tempted to get another unit to better control the backyard area.     These units are effective but need to turn-off during hours of daylight. The batteries will have to be changed about every two-years but that's fully expected. However, the solar panels seem to fail after two or three years. Also, since they are motion-sensing units, the deer come to learn the pattern of the sensors so it takes a number of these units to cover an area. These units sell for a wide range of prices so shopping a number of vendors for the best price is advisable.

    I set this little jewel up in front of a video camera because I was scepticle that it would work. Raccoons and foxes are repelled instantly(night creatures). Don't know about other animals yet, but my ducks won't go near it but then again they are creatures of habit. The sensor lights up blue when anything approaches so only time will tell if it's the sonic waves or the light that is scaring them. 5 stars until I prove it differently.

    There is a mole (or moles) ripping apart my front and back yard. They've got to go. I bought this to try and do a no-kill solution. It comes with batteries and is easy to put together. It allows you to set different frequency based on square footage around you or how far you want the sound to reach. I think the longest is 30 feet. I can hear it clicking sometimes. It goes off with movement, but its not a noise that bothers me, plus its outside. I hate these moles and hope this works. So far so good on not seeing new tracks, but I will update in a few weeks! I will likely purchase more for the back yard.

    Was skeptical about these but gambled and ordered several. I live in the country & have problems with deer eating everything in my garden (shrubs, flowers and vegetables). I have recently had close encounters with black bear within yards of my house. I scattered these around the perimeter of my yard and had immediate success with deterring the deer. The lack of nibbling was obvious. I have no guarantee about the black bear but since putting these around my yard, I have not seen any within the Hoont perimeter. An added benefit that I really wasn't expecting is that these have also deterred armadillo which can dig up my yard overnight. I plan to buy more in the future to add to my perimeter and to attempt to protect a chicken coop from predators. These were easy to install and unless tripped by something are fairly unobtrusive in the landscape. The clicking noise can be annoying if I am working in the yard but I just switch them off and make sure to switch them back on when I complete tasks. These have been installed for about a month and I've had no issues with them at all, in fact, the range is much wider/broader than stated. I can turn into my driveway (30 feet away) and they will flash. You do have to be strategic in the way you angle them but a little thought as to where the deer were entering my property seems to have worked.

    I got two of these to guard against ravenous squirrels eating my avocados, leaving many on the ground with teeth marks all over them. Since I installed two of these units about three weeks ago, the number of avocados I've found rotting on the ground has decreased drammatically. I have one on the ground pointing at the tree and another on a near-by fence at mid-level, also pointing at the tree. Both are on L+ at Sensitivity 5. I charged both of them via the supplied USB cord before installing them. That said, here in SoCal we get plenty of sunshine so it appears the units get recharged readily. Does it make sense to spend $60 to save about 25 avocados? Well, I do hope they last another season. It gets really hot down here so time will tell whether the units can survive in full sunshine and 100 degree temps. So far, I'm very impressed.

    I purchased this unit to keep the deer from eating a small apple tree that I grew from seed. I was not sure if the unit would work or not, but I decided to give it a try after the deer ate half of my tree within two days of planting it. I do not know if it is the flashing LED or the sound that is emitted, but my tree has recovered and has put on new growth. It has been months and the tree is still doing well so I am convinced it is because of the Hoont device.

    I live in a place where my back yard backs up to an open space where coyotes like to spend the evenings/nights howling and harassing/grabbing innocent small domesticated animals. Since I have two small dogs, I was worried that one night they would get taken away--coyotes can climb 6-ft fences... Can I say definitively that this is keeping them away? No. But I do know my dogs don't like to be around them, and the neighbors' dogs don't get close to the fence any more, so something must be happening... I honestly can't say I've seen anything sunning away from these, but I also haven't had any incidents with coyotes or the large dogs on either side of us.

    I installed this and so far no deer. However, you should be aware of one small glitch that is not made clear in the description. Fully grown adults can’t hear the ultrasonic emissions, but it evidently drives kids nuts. My neighbor came over to tell me that her kids heard it through the walls of their house, and they couldn’t figure out what it was. My neighbor heard nothing. I heard nothing. Their kids, however, were climbing the walls. We finally figured out where it was coming from: these little beauties. So, beware, unless you hate your neighbors kids, turn the ultrasonic setting to low. I’m not kidding.

    These actually work! We had rabbits eating our lawn and digging holes in it every dawn and every sunset. We went through a whole bunch of sprays and stuff you spread on the lawn, but they wore off quickly. When I got this unit, I put one out in the side yard and they never came back to that part of the yard. So, I bought two more to cover the front lawn and back lawn. So far, a terriffic success as we haven't seen the bunnies at all in days. Just to note, I'm using these settings: 1) small animals with no strobe lights and 2) maximum range.

    I purchased my first one, solely on a positive review by a previous customer. We seemed to have the same problem: "lazy neighbor just opens front door, and lets dog(s) out to empty themselves on (my) lawn." I have had this problem for years with our next door neighbor's Golden Retriever, among others. Since I set this up, the dog avoids my property like the plague. I even see the dog get let out first thing in the morning, and he runs anywhere, but never near this. Cleaning up after the neighborhood dogs on my lawn, felt like mucking out a horse's barn, on a daily basis. But not now. Dobby is free. I have now purchased two more, to complete the perimeter protection of my property. There are also cats, who like to foul the mulch underneath my kitchen window. This was very easy to set up. Contains a solar rechargeable battery. Set it and forget it. Also works at night. No animals get hurt. Humans no longer have aggravation with neighborhood mammals. This has set me free from years of cleaning up a constant barrage of animal feces.

Best thing ever. Had to adjust at first. Didn't like the clicking, neither did neighbors. Hubby hooked up via electricity and on high, behind basketball hoop, pointing up to wires. No more birds,clicking, or poop from birds. Cars clean. !! Birds Gone!! Occasionally a dove, but compared to what we were getting, I'm 100% happy!! Getting another one for backyard!😄😄😄😄💕

    WORKS on feral cats and full grown possum per my RING video after a few weeks. Video shows the cats at night trying to find ways around the Hoont so I bought two more to cover the entire driveway from both sides and also into the back access, and they do not come around any more after a few weeks of exposure. The possum was running fast to get in, the video shows the Hoont flashing, and the animal abruptly turned and ran away even faster. None have tried again lately per my motion sensible video recordings. Great!
