We had a kitchen sink clog that was deep down the pipe, so the little drainers you see when you search for a sink snake would not have worked. It pulled out a massive clump including a popsicle stick. There have been some comments on the need to tighten the clamp, but that's just how it works. You loosen, extend until you hit a clump, tighten and then turn the handle. This sometimes loosens the clog, but you need to extend further and do it again (so need to loosen the clamp, extend, re-tighten, etc). Anyway, great tool and save me a plumber.
