I literally unscrewed my shower hose from the pipe, screwed the filter to the pipe, and screwed the hose back onto the bottom of the filter. No tools necessary.The lavender scent is not overpowering, but it did fill the bathroom enough that my husband was walking past and could smell it. I definitely suggest following the instructions and letting your shower run for at least 10 mins when you first install. When I did that there wasnt much smell at all. However once I turned it off and went back later in the day to shower the smell was amazing! For the lavender fields its not super strong but strong enough that it made me immensely happy in the shower lol! And afterwards my skin definitely felt way less dry. Totally recommend and Im definitely going to try out the other scents!

As others have said, make sure you prime this, by letting the water run through it for at least 10 minutes. The next day when I took a shower, it was like a spa. The smell isn't over powering but a light nice scent. This is a perfect wake up for your morning shower. Do I think it drastically changed my hair or skin? No… but I still love it as the scent is so nice. I've only used it a handful of times but still really like it. I can't wait to try the lavender.
