After trying several harnesses that I couldn't adjust to fit comfortably on her especially to keep buckles etc away from her elbows. The Rabbitgoo allows an adjustment on the belly that sets it farther back away from her elbows. It has adjustments on the front that lets me get a comfortable, snug, but not too tight fit there also. The only thing that seemed to bother her was the stiffness right under the handle so I took a heavy knit sock, cut off the top, stitched the end that would ravel, attached it to the sides of the leash ring on the back, and using leather lacing, allow it to be placed just back of that stiff part underneath the harness back. That keeps the hard stiff part from touching her and she is a happy camper. I tried to show what I did with the pictures. I like the leash ring so low in front and she has been responding very well to the harness so far when I am walking her. My only real complaint is about the heavy duty plastic buckles on the sides because my old hands really struggle opening them. I love the metal buckles on the front connections with the little tabs to help open them up. And I love the black one on her because it just blends in.

I have an Akita he's super friendly but he looks so scary that I don't want him running at neighbors walking their dogs. He only wants to play with the dogs but when he's running at you it causes panic, he's got a head like a black bear. I bought this harness to take him on walks, I need the walks more than he does but that's another story. This dog is smart and has learned how to wiggle out of a normal collar so I needed something that would stay on if he beings to pull. This thing does the trick. I was concerned that it would not be strong enough to handle him, but I was wrong, this thing is built strong - I have no concerns when I take him out and I love that it doesn't pull on his neck when he needs a bit of restraint. I think that is has actually helped make him a better walking companion because he's so much more well behaved wearing this. When he sees me grab this harness from the hook he gets super excited because he has associated it with going for a walk. Don't be hesitant to purchase this product, I was, now I feel silly - it's strong and well made.

This is a great harness. My German Shepherd can be a bit high-strung. The handle at the top of the harness gives me a lot of control when needed. I have bought a few moral/tactical patches and they attach perfectly. The harness is well crafted. The latches at the front, where most of the weight bearing occurs, are metal and fasten securely. I also like that it's very easy to put on a wiggly German Shepherd. She is 85 pounds and I got the large size. there is plenty of room to let the harness out if she gets a little fatter. You won't be disappointed with this harness.

I definitely live the look on him and he loves when I put the vest on him. It does have a great hook to latch the leash on and that means a lot. She is a huge puller and it definitely has helped change that behavior and is much kinder than the poker chocker collar. It’s not as long as I’d like because she has a long torso but it works, and the quality is nice. The buckles that take the most stress are metal the others are heavy weight plastic. They stress measuring correctly... the neck circumference measurement needs to be where neck attaches torso. Waist measurement needs to be at thickest part of chest. The other neck measurement is between the two going between the front legs.

I have a very sweet but powerful dog. If she senses trouble when we are walking she will tense up. There's a posture that a dog uses for different situations. a responsible dog owner will know these postures. When she tenses I know something is wrong and having gone thru many "they will never get out of this harness" thing, I finally came upon this one. when I put it on her she knows its walk time, she is happy and I am both happy and relieved that nothing will hinder this walk. It is made so well it goes halfway down her back. Buckles are huge and padded underneath for her comfort. As the harness is put on, her head goes thru an opening and a T form of reinforced material goes under her neck to her belly and connected to the side. There is a handle on top of the harness that allows you to hold your dog if necessary and two reinforced rings one on top and one under her neck for walking and they are reinforced also. It is a comfortable, extremely well built strong harness that will enable a small adult to control the dog if necessary. I love it because I know I am in complete control of her and not at a price to pay for a pulled arm of a bad fall. She loves people, she was adopted from a high kill shelter in Ny. She came to my home with my bossy Jack Russell and they are now in love, (imagine that). I have also trained them to sit and wait until the other dog either goes by or the owner and the dog make a run for it. This harness is the answer to my prayers and yours for a long relaxing walk. Ahhh the sweet smell of Spring air.
