I like this pad's size as it is big enough to cover my tummy to relieve cramps/PMS or warm up my shoulder or back after a good massage. I have another heating pad from another brand, but it doesn’t have as many heating and time settings. Also, the other heating pad I have only work up to half an hour. I usually need to turn it back on before I can fall asleep. I enjoy the 90 mins auto-off timer of this new heating pad. The highest temperature is hot, but not to the point that you feel like it is burning your skin. The material is soft and smooth. The pad is a little thick due to the plush feeling surface material, but not to the point that bothers me. I like the plush feeling, so I don’t mind it being a little thicker.

Historically, I've used microwaveable heat packs to help loosen the muscles and this was my first time using a heating pad. It was warm enough to work, but not too warm where I felt like I was at risk of burning myself. I think I've been overheating my microwaveable packs!
