It's a little annoying having to remove the tracker from our dog's collar to charge it but push messages let us know when it is down to 10% charge. The battery charging cord is magnetic and a little funky requiring some jacking around to get the charging light to go on. Considering the design constraints, it is light, apparently durable, and overall pretty ez to set up and it works.

She has gotten out twice since I bought the tracker, and both times it notified me that she was out of the fence, and she was right where it said she was. The Family sharing capability is also really helpful when I’m an hour from home at work. Wish the battery lasted longer, but it notifies you when it needs to be charged. It looks a little bulky on my dachshund, but it doesn’t seem to bother her.

He chases rabbit trails for miles in any direction and it usually takes an hour or more before he tires out and he lets us catch him. Today, with this tracker, we had him back in the house in 6 minutes! We turned on the sound when we got close according to the map, and he slowed down and got in the car when directed. Amazing! Only downside so far (we've had it for 5 days) was that later on it showed that he had left the virtual fence and been around the neighbors house, when I knew he was inside and we were away. A bit annoying, but still better than chasing my runner all over creation for several hours! Great product!

So we have had the Tractive GPS Dog tracker for 10 days now and we are very happy with this product. We live on 5 acres out in the country with farmland all around us. We also have a woods behind our property. Our dogs (1 year old German Shepard sisters) would disappear and always some back but left us concerned about where they were going. The tracker has provided peace of mind that they are wandering off into the 40-acre soy bean field right next to our house and into the woods behind us. They have not crossed the road (trained not go near it). The ability to live track plus see a 24 hour history of where they have been and how many miles they have traveled has been a bonus. We only track one of them since they always travel together. We love this product and recommend it highly.

But I've been notified every time he goes outside of the virtual fence on walks, which is good. I also particularly like that I get notifications on my smartwatch as well, that's very convenient. We've thoroughly tested it's waterproofness, still running! The fitness tracking has been good so far, no complaints. I wish the battery lasted longer, it's been getting 4-5 days which is fine. At least it gives you notifications on your phone to let you know.
