I ordered this knowing the air pressure would clear the clog better than chemicals!! My Dad was a plumber for 50 years and taught me alot of how to do things in your own. So I knew that this was better than chemicals, they are just water and a waste of money and can damage your pipes. I pumped the "Thinvik toilet opener" and did this 2 times and got a small amount of opening if the back up. So on the 3rd try, the tub drain opened up immediately!! So this might be a little personal but it's a great example: there was a very large #2 in my toilet that, even with no toilet paper in the bowl, would not go down. I plunged and plunged with a regular plunger, but it sat for 3 days and was still plugged (which baffles me considering there was no tp). When it says pump it as many times as you can, it means at least 20 times. I found 25-30 gets me good results. Also, you may have to use it more than once. Don't get discouraged if the first shot doesn't clear everything. It took me two shots. But like I said, an auger, chemicals and traditional plunger got me no results. This got me the results I wanted. It worked, didn't cost a lot, and was delivered quickly. What more do you need?
